Whether you’re a goal setting kind of person or not having a vision and plan for your business this year is going to be important. Today, I’m going to walk you through my process for creating your vision, setting your intentions, and establishing your goals for the new year, so that they feel exciting and doable, which means there’s a way better chance they’ll actually happen. Let’s dive in. Hey, there, I’m Sean miner, and this is unstuck entrepreneur. 1:28
Welcome back to the unstuck entrepreneur podcast. Or should I say, welcome, everyone, for the first time ever to the unstuck entrepreneur podcast. As you may have noticed, there has been an ever so slight change to the branding of this show. It’s been called unstuck for the past 129 episodes. And I’ve been wanting to add meaning to change it over to be unstuck entrepreneur for quite a long time. Because this is a business podcast. That is the name of a program I host. That is the name of my social media channel specifically for my business. So it just seemed right to also call this podcast on stock entrepreneur, since it is specifically for businesses, and entrepreneurs and solopreneurs and coaches and practitioners, everyone is welcome here as long as you have or want to have, or at some point have had, or even have a dream of someday having your own business. Because that’s what we do here. That’s what we talk about here. And so the time was finally here to actually make that switch, I quite honestly was just putting it off for no reason it really hadn’t made it to like the top of my priority list at any point in time. Until now and then turned out it took like all of five minutes to actually do so probably could have done it a little sooner. But that’s neither here nor there. Now it is done. It is officially the unstuck entrepreneur podcast. And I’m so grateful to have all of you here, listening to this episode listening to any other episodes that catch your eye and sound good to you. There’s plenty of episodes to listen to if you haven’t already, or if you just want to go back and get a refresher. And one more thing before we get into today’s episode, I just want to let you know of something really cool that I have created for you. It is a brand new free resource. I over the past few months have spoken with a lot of you who really really want to add an online coaching program to your business, or you a lot of you want to start your business with that being your main offer, which I think is so cool. And like I’ve mentioned before, that is absolutely what I would do if I were starting over. If I was starting my business again, I would start with that signature program. But you want a little bit more guidance on how to get started. So I created a signature program starter kit that will help you with those first few and most important steps most important considerations that you need to make to start working on your program. So this is like it’s a workbook that essentially contains three separate worksheets for the three most important considerations when you’re first starting out with your program. So if you want to get your hands on that it’s a really great resource. Head over to Sean miner.com/starter kit. I think you probably know this, but I don’t know if I said this yet. It’s free. Of course it’s free. So make sure you head over there and grab it Shawn minor.com/starter kit and we’ll have that linked in the show notes for you. And also remember while we’re on the topic Pick up signature programs, I have a free 60 minute training available on the five things that you need to do from the start to make sure that your program is a success that people actually want your program that is actually going to sell out and make the impact that you’re hoping it makes in the world. So I have that available, too, that you can head to Shawn minor.com/program masterclass, again, linked in the show notes for sure. But I really, I encourage you, if you have any interest at all, in having sort of like a group program on online program, as part of your business model, as something that you can offer, your clients do both get in on both, they actually complement each other very nicely. So get your hands on the starter kit kit and start working on that. And then also sign up for the masterclass and go through both of them at the same time, you’re gonna get so much out of this and have a really great starting point to work on your own program, which would be so fun. Like I said, both will be linked in the show notes of this episode. So feel free to head there and get your hands on these freebies. Okay, on to today’s episode, it is going to be very different than episodes in the past, I’m actually going to recommend, right now that you stop listening. If you are driving, if you’re working out, if you’re on a walk, if you’re doing something right now, while you listen to this, where you can’t stop, close your eyes, do some journaling, then this isn’t going to have the impact and you’re not going to get as much out of it. Then if you wait and turn this episode back on, when you are able to be you know, on your couch or at your desk, at your kitchen table, something like that where it is quiet. Hopefully, you have some uninterrupted time, like really, this is going to be your self care your me time of the week. So when you have that moment, and if you don’t schedule something out, tell your partner tell your kids tell your roommate that you just need some time and head into a quiet place with this episode. And also with a journal. And obviously something to write with in your journal and get as comfy, have some water and just get into a space, maybe light some candles, put on some essential oils, and really make it a nice space and a great place where you can really feel into this episode and give it all your attention. So there’s going to be a lot of doing as you listen to this episode. So there’ll be times where I tell you to pause, make sure you actually hit pause, do the work. When you feel complete, come back, hit play, and we’ll go through the next step. It is so so powerful when done this way. So I really really encourage you to take the time to use this as an actual workshop, which speaking of this episode is all just an abridged version of the intention and goal setting workshop that I did with you e members. Last week, we did it as a live class. Of course, I had some slides, because if I don’t I tend to get off topic. So I had some slides. And that’s what I’ll be using to guide me through recording this episode for you all today. Don’t worry, you don’t need to see the slides to get the benefits of this. It’s more for me, so that I stay on track. So with that, let’s get into some goal setting. And of course, as always, we start with a quote, this one, a famous one, you probably already heard it. But let me be the reminder here for you. This is from Napoleon Hill. A goal is a dream with a deadline. And I know you all have a dream for your business, you have an idea of how you wish your business would go how you wish your business would provide for a dream life. So I know you have that dream. And we can take that dream, put it into some goals, add some timelines and make it a reality. And the most important way to do that, I think, is by way of your vision, first and foremost, and your intentions, which is next and then from there, we can create the goals. And that’s really the plan for this entire episode is to start with that vision that you have That includes your dream business, and then use that vision to create your intentions. And then use both that vision and your intentions to lead you into creating some goals. So that is our plan for this episode. The key takeaway, the one thing, if you don’t get anything else, if you stop listening to everything else, I say, at least listen to this, at least let this absorb the goals that you have for 2022, or whatever year you’re listening to this, whatever time you’re listening to this, it’s not something that has to be done at the top of a year, please don’t think that these are things these are tools you should be using every day of every year. So that’s the first thing. Secondly, whatever goals you have, are going to require a new version of you. What you’ve done in the past isn’t going to get you there. What you’ve thought in the past, isn’t going to get you there, what you’ve believed in the past isn’t going to get you there and how you’ve acted in the past certainly won’t get you there, it is going to require a new version of you. Because if you already were the version of you that does these things that creates these things, you would already have them. So then we have to come to terms and we have to be real with ourselves about what it’s going to take to get to this goal, what we are going to have to become what we’re going to have to do and think and believe and act differently in order to make it happen.
11:45
Let that be your key takeaway for today. What got you here, won’t get you there. Okay, so let’s start with your visualization. This is going to require you to close your eyes, take some deep breaths, I really really want you too quiet down your conscious mind. So it may take even a few moments of meditation, a few deep breaths, really releasing your shoulders, your jaw, your forehead, anywhere where you tend to store stress where you tend to tighten up, take a moment and release it. Just let it all relax, let it all go just for now. Get into a comfortable position, make sure your eyes are closed. One more big, deep breath in letting yourself relax. Just one more click. And now I want you to see yourself one year from today. Exactly one year from today, having completed your goal. So I want you to see yourself create the image in front of you see yourself you can put it up on a screen you can have it be in front of you on a walkway on a path in the same room as you but ahead of you create that image of you one year from today. With that goal checked, you can check that box, it is done. What do you notice about yourself from the outside looking at you with this goal accomplished? What do you notice?
13:49
Now imagine yourself walking to that image walking up all the way to the image and then stepping into that image. So you are now in the image of you one year from today. You have completed the goal. You are now fully in your body as that person who completes that goal. How do you feel?
14:30
And what do you see?
14:37
And get into the details of it. What are you wearing? Who are you with? Where are you? What are you saying? What are you thinking? Get into the details of this I want you to pause right now and stay here in that image and get as detailed as possible with that image, and when you are fully head to toe in the feeling of you being the person that has accomplished that goal, one year from today, come back and hit play. Okay, so now we have our vision, and your entire body is filled up with that feeling of accomplishment, whatever that feels like to you. Now pick up your journal, stay with that feeling. And describe that day in present tense. So the first line is going to look something like it is now and then write down the date one year from today, when you’re listening. And I am I and then just go with it. And I am and explain every piece of that vision you just created as if it were today. So in present tense, talk about what you have going on, who’s with you where you are, and most importantly, how you feel. So write down the words I feel. And then answer that as detailed with as much as you can. And then also write down, I think, and describe what you’re saying to yourself because of that accomplishment. Okay, so take the time to do that. Now take as much time as you need. Pause here and come back when you have fully written down that day in present tense in your journal. Okay, so now that we’re done with that, and we have this whole day written out, we’ve really gotten all the details about how it looks, how it feels, what you’re thinking, what you’re saying to yourself. Now, let’s think about that. 12 months ahead of that, that got you there. First question to answer in your journal. What actions did you take that made the biggest difference? So what did you do over the past 12 months? That got you there? What really moved the needle and made it possible? Pause now answer the question. Okay, time for the next question about the 12 months that got you there. What did you let go of that allowed this to happen? What did you let go of that allowed this to happen? And might I just add the most important question you could possibly ask and answer for your goal setting. So make sure to really take the time to answer that question. What did you let go of that allowed this to happen? Pause here, come back when you’re ready. Okay, so your vision has officially been created, and the coolest thing ever based on quantum physics. So I don’t care how woo spiritual energetic you want to get, or how scientific three dimensional you want to stay. I don’t care. It’s up to you. But no matter what the proof has been shown that that version of you, having met your goal, at the end of the year is now a probability scientifically, based in quantum physics, that version of you that you just created, in your own mind is now a probability because you have officially energetically created it. It now has its own unique energetic expression, simply because of your thoughts simply because of that exercise you just did.
19:12
And also, even better, the path to get you there. Of course, there are multiple paths. There’s all kinds of ways that it could happen. Those all have also been created to the energetic expression of the way for you to get there has also been created. At this moment. You just did it. How cool is that? It gets me so excited even just to talk about now, the question comes in, do you line up with it or don’t you? That is what will determine if it becomes your reality. If you achieve that goal. It’s simply a matter of lining up with that energetic expression that you just created are turning your back on it essentially. So that is what I want you to remember another really big takeaway from this whole goal setting workshop is to remember to remind yourself, that is probable, what you just created is probable. Now your job is to line up with it, to get into the vibration of it, to take aligned inspired action towards it. That is your job. Okay, now let’s move on it to setting your intention. So just as a quick reminder, there are actually a few episodes at least one, I’ll try to find it and link it in the show notes. There’s at least one episode where I talk about the difference between intentions and goals. But let me just remind you, intentions come from the heart. Whereas goals come from the head. So you cannot think up an intention. You can’t just be like, Yeah, I’m just gonna make this thing my intention, you feel into your intentions. Intentions are purpose driven, and soul based. Intentions are about feeling, not doing. Intentions are the reason behind your goals. And leading with your intentions makes achieving your goals, inevitable. So if you don’t start with your intentions, and you just create some random goals, because that’s what you tried to do last year, that’s what you think you should do. That’s what someone else is doing. So maybe you should too, what you feel like is the right next step, that’s not going to provide what you’re actually looking for. And you actually achieving those goals are very slim. So if you start with your intentions, and let that lead the way to creating your goals, those goals, first of all, line up with what you really, truly actually desire. And second of all, achieving those goals becomes inevitable, it becomes obvious, it becomes like a no brainer, because you’re starting with your intentions. So you know, so many people create goals at the beginning of the year, or really any and all times we’re creating goals, this is what determines if they’re going to work out for you or not, is based on your intentions. And almost nobody creates their intention to first when they decide on their goals. And then here we are, you know, years later, still not having achieved that goal. So that’s why we are starting here by setting your intentions first. Alright, I have some more journal questions for you. Get that journal back out, be ready to pause and come back when you are done. First question. Who do you have to be for that vision to come true? So go back to that vision you just created? Who do you have to be for that vision to come true? Pause here, come back when you’re ready. Next question for your journal. How do you have to show up? How do you have to show up one of the most important questions, you have to ask yourself basically, on a daily basis as a business owner, but really think about that vision? And how did you show up to get there? Pause and come back when you’re ready. Next question, what do you have to do differently? As I mentioned before, what got you here won’t get you there? So what different actions did you take? That made it so that your goal became your reality? Pause here, come back when you’re ready.
24:05
Next question. I actually put two questions into one because they’re kind of similar, what values are most important to you? And what drives you? So what values are most important to you and what drives you? answer those questions, come back when you’re ready. Okay, so within all of those answers that you just wrote down, are your intentions they are in there. That is what truly matters. That is what will derive you and will guide you. So I want you to look through, read through everything you just wrote down and see what you can come up with as maybe say three to five intentions I think would be a good place. If you only can think of one or two. That’s fine too. But see if you can make a list of up to five intentions and you’re going To start by writing I intend to, and then just let it flow from there, that will be the guiding force as you create your goals, which is the next step. So please take the time to do that now and come back when you have your intentions.
25:20
Okay, so we have our intentions you’ve created anywhere from one to five, we’ll say it doesn’t really matter. But I don’t want you to have so many that it becomes overwhelming. So keep it at five or less, you have them written down. And now we are going to take both the vision that you just created, and the intentions that you just set, and use those to set your goals. So time to talk about goals. First, a few tips for goal setting. Very, very, very important. The most important thing is that you remain detached, aka unemotional with your goals. This is the probably the biggest problem that I have with goal setting. I love creating goals. What I don’t love is when people put so much of like, so much meaning I guess, and especially meaning about themselves and their capabilities and their beliefs and their thoughts. And all this stuff gets wrapped up into our goals. So then when we don’t hit a goal, it’s just affirming this belief that we have about ourselves, and it actually strengthens it. So like getting rid of these limiting beliefs when we are so attached to our goals and have them mean something just creates an even a harder system to get out of from a kind of mindset and energetic perspective. So I hope that makes sense. Got off on a little tangent there. But this is why it is so important for you to remain detached and unemotional. When it comes to your goals. You can think of your goals as kind of like flags or guideposts or signs that you are moving in the right direction. So they’re just ways to show that you are living by your intentions, and you are living with that vision in mind, and you are on the right path energetically to achieve that vision. So they’re just little flex, just think of them that way. And some of them, you know, show up and some of them don’t. And if they don’t show up, if you can’t see the flag, then it just means that you have you’ve gotten off course a little bit. And you need to pivot or you need to go in a different direction, or you need to veer this way, just ever so slightly, and you will be back on that, that path and the flag will appear. So just think about them that way and remain detached from them. Another tip for goal setting is that they need to be uncomfortable, they really can’t be something that you know you can achieve. Because I mean, like what fun is that? Right? And we really want to get outside of our comfort zone, that is where the magic happens. So they need to be uncomfortable, you cannot be 100% certain that you can do it. Of course, these like smart goals that we’ve heard from like day one, I don’t even know what all of the that means anymore. I used to. But I do know the ones that really continue to stick out for me is that they need to be specific, and they need to be measurable. And that really is for your own sake. Because if you keep it too vague, then how are you ever going to know that you hit it. And you’re never going to have that flag actually pop up to be like, Yes, I’m headed in the right direction, I’m doing the right thing this is working or this isn’t working, the more specific that you can get, the more information that you are going to have as you hit or don’t hit these goals. So please keep it specific and measurable. I know sometimes it can be hard to be like I don’t really want to put like a specific number on the money that I’m going to make this year or the amount of people I’m going to help this year or anything like that. But at least give yourself up a pretty small range. Of course, you will hopefully go well over it. You know, like if you’re hoping to make $50,000 This year, hopefully you make $100,000. And that’s cool. So you’re not limiting yourself in any way by putting on that number. But you are again, using these as flags as guideposts to know you are headed in the right direction. And it’s gonna be really hard to chunk down and work on achieving that goal. If it’s just yet I want to make some money this year. Like that’s obviously like that’s not going to happen. We have to get specific with it. And lastly, this is just a suggestion. This is something that I do you don’t have have to do this if it doesn’t feel good to you, but I like to keep it pretty clean and pretty simple. But I create two goals, one of which is an income goal for the year. And then the other is an impact goal for the year. So for example, like I just mentioned, you can have an income goal, I want to make 50,000 or 100,000 1 million, whatever it is for the year. And then also an impact goal would be like, I want to have 50,000 people download my podcast, I want to get 100,000 views on my website, each month, those kinds of things that are specific. So a lot of people when we were doing this goal setting workshop live, they had their impact goal being the amount of people they wanted to get on their email list. So the amount of subscribers they wanted to add in the year 2022. So that’s a really good impact goal that is very specific, very measurable, and very helpful. That is creating a big impact, to have more people that you can serve. Okay, so now I want you to take some time to really think about the vision that you created for yourself at the beginning. And then think about the intentions that you just set for your year. And now create at least two goals that align with these. So think of at least two, like I said, it can be income and impact, if you feel comfortable with that can be to impact can be to income. I don’t know how that would work, but you get what I mean. So create some goals come back when you have them written down.
31:36
Now I want you to answer some questions about those goals. First of all, what intention or intentions does it align with. So remember, we cannot have an achievable goal if it doesn’t come attached to an intention, which is what we can really put our feeling and our emotion into is lining up with that intention. And the goal is simply the guideposts. So determine what intention or intentions, your goals align with. And you can write those down next to each goal. So you have the kind of visual that they are connected. Now I want you to rate on a scale of one to 10 How uncomfortable is this goal? So one being like totally doing it like tomorrow? No big deal. 10 being like, this is so freakin scary. How uncomfortable is this goal? So write that number down next to each goal, come back when you’re ready. And then next, a scale of one to 10. What level of belief Do you have that this will actually happen? Not what your you think you need to write down not what your ego is telling you to write down what you actually feel. So take the time to get quiet with this. Definitely pause here. But really find that level of belief from your inner being from your inner knowing as to how achievable or how believable it is that this will actually happen scale of one to 10 one being like absolutely no chance and 10 being like definitely happening like tomorrow. Write that down, come back when you’re ready.
33:30
Okay, now, the most important step, be sure to take the time to really sit with this. And this is something you can even come back to over the next few days and few weeks as you really think about this question and think about the goals that you just created. What are some ways that you can make this happen? Now these don’t even have to be ways that you would ever actually do. This is all just about brainstorming, we want to create the biggest list that we can of possibilities, possible ways that you can make this happen. Remember, when you created that vision, you created all kinds of different paths to get there energetically. So what are those paths? Even if it’s not the path that you really want to take? Because hey, guess what that may change in like a month, but doesn’t matter. Just think about all the possible ways write a list, what are some ways you can make this happen? Create that list and come back when you’re ready? Okay, so now that you have a list of all the possible ways that you could make that goal happen, make this dream a reality for you. Hopefully, there was one or two or even three or four ways that seemed kind of exciting or felt really good for you to move towards for you to use as the method to get you to your goal. If there’s not then feel free to sit with Do it for a little bit, and you can come back and do this later. But hopefully there was something that really stuck out as a way that you can get started to make your goal a reality. So now we need to chunk it up, this is what I call it. I’ve called it this in my own life for years, because this is the only way that I actually achieve any of my goals. If I just think in terms of like, okay, in 12 months, I’m going to be here, that absolutely does not work for me, and I don’t think it works for anybody, you have to chunk it up and turn it into doable steps. And then you only have to focus on those steps for that week or that month, and not worry about what’s going to happen a year from now, that makes it so much more doable. And it just feels just fun instead of overwhelming. So first, we’re going to chunk them up into four big milestones that need to happen to reach that goal. And you can probably guess that these are going to become your quarterly action items. It is so important as a business owner, that you always have a 90 day goal. And every quarter is really getting you a big step closer and closer to your ultimate yearly goal. So first thing, what are four big milestones that you need to reach each quarter, so chunk it up by four. And you can do that now or you can wait and, and we’ll go through all of this and then kind of do it all at once. Because once you have those four big milestones, then you are going to have the three steps, you need to happen to get to those milestones. So you’re going to take those milestones and break them down into three things that you need to do to reach that milestone. As you can probably see, those become your monthly action steps here, what I like to think of as monthly focuses. So we’ve taken that big goal, and chunked it up by four. So one thing per quarter to focus on, and then taken each of those four quarterly goals and chunk them up by three. So that now you basically have a monthly goal.
37:23
Now you’re going to build a your to do list from those monthly actions, those monthly goals. So what do you need to do each month, so that you reach your monthly goal, or you really have that monthly focus, that is going to end up being extremely important towards your quarterly goal, and then your yearly goal. So as a extremely basic example, let’s say you have a yearly revenue goal of $100,000. And let’s say you have the type of business where you have steady income coming in month after month, or that is really the goal that you have, you just want steady income every month being kind of predictable, kind of the same. So that would mean that your quarterly goals are going to be $25,000 per quarter. And then breaking that down even further, that means $8,333 per month, every month, that is how you would end up achieving your $100,000 per year goal. Now, there’s all different ways that you could do this, just a few you could offer monthly packages at $1,000 a month. And you could sell eight of those. And then say you also have $333 or somewhere around there of affiliate sales or something like that. You could also just do one off sessions like client consultations at $150 and do 56 of them in a month. You could also do three month client packages. So 90 Day client packages at $2,500 and sell 10 of them. And this is just an example of all the things that I’m thinking all the ways I would consider how can I make $8,333 per month
39:27
when I find a way like okay, yes, I actually really like working with clients on a monthly basis. So I’m going to really focus on doing monthly client packages at $1,000. And I’m just going to focus on selling eight of them every single month. So now the question becomes what do you need to do each month to make this happen? So how can I get eight people every month to sign up for my client packages? What I offer a certain number and maybe You already have this number in your business. If not, it’s really important to eventually get this number. When you have do free consultations for your clients. What’s your average call it kind of close rate, but what is the average percentage of people that then sign up? So then you could determine Okay, so 50% of people that I do free consultations with sign up. So that means I need 16, free consultations? How do I get 16 people to sign up for my free consultations? Well, I can send out my email list every week and make sure I talk about the free consultation offer in those emails, I can show up on my social media and make sure people know that I offer free consultations, I can do that a few times a week, I could write a blog post, or two this month and link to my free consultation page and those blog posts, and then post those blog posts on Pinterest. Like this is what I’m talking about in terms of you creating your to do list based on a chunked up version of your yearly goal. This is how I want you to think about this. And this is what I want you to do every month. And then for me even from there, and this may or may not work for you and your schedule, I then go all the way into weekly goals. So take that example I just shared with you. And now I have some weekly goals too. So my weekly goals are going to include writing my newsletter and putting in a reference to my free consultation offer. I’m going to write two blog posts. I’m going to do some work on Pinterest to get every all of my doings pinned on Pinterest, I’m going to show up on social media four or five times per week, every week. Now I have a to do list every single week, I know what I’m up to, to make this a reality. So I hope you can see that. It really doesn’t have to be that hard. It really can be like organized, but also fun. And when you think about it this way, it doesn’t feel so overwhelming. Like of course I can write two blog posts in a month. And yeah, sure, I can show up on social media more and really talk about my free consultation offer. And yeah, I can definitely write some newsletters. I mean, now your to do list for the week is write a newsletter, do some social media posts, and maybe write a blog post every other week. And then you get clients. So I hope that makes sense, and helps you see how it could work. Let me do one more example. This is we’ll take the same $100,000 goal. But as I know a lot of you like me, we do not have income that is steady like that it very much comes in waves based on when we’re launching things when we’re running a program, that kind of stuff. So you can also chunk it up based on what you think in each quarter, you are going to work on if how many launches you’re going to have if you’re going to launch anything at all, what other revenue streams you’re going to have going on that quarter. So let’s say $100,000, you’re just starting a new signature program. And so the first quarter, you’re going to be launching the beta launch, and you are selling it for $500. And your goal is to get 20 people into your beta launch. So quarter one revenue is $10,000. But then you’re going to launch it again as a full launch. Once you get the information from your beta, you’re going to launch it again in q2, and the regular rate for your program is going to be $1,000. And you expect 25 people to sign up for that round. And then you’re going to launch it again in q3, expecting some growth in your audience because of everything you’ve done for this signature program, how you’re promoting it, the workshops you’re doing and running each quarter. And so now 30 People are going to be in your q3 launch. And then 35 People are going to be in your queue for launch. So $10,000 $25,000 $30,000 and then $35,000, which means you have $100,000 year launching four times your new signature program, and having even really technically small growth, so not looking for necessarily exponential growth, but expecting your following and your interest level to grow over the year to where every launch you get five more people in. And so now we chunk up those quarters, those launches essentially into three big monthly action plans. So obviously content creation to get people Interested in your work to get new people new eyes, I guess fresh eyes on your work is going to be really important when it comes time to launch your program. So you can really focus on that for a month. So that could be month one focusing on content creation, which could be posting on social media every day, writing a blog post every week doing a podcast episode every week, doing a YouTube video every week. Those kinds of things. Definitely, of course, always writing your newsletter and sending out your emails every week, these kinds of things can be really a focus that will kind of be on steroids for one month, but of course, will be things that you’re doing kind of all the time, but you can really focus on putting your attention towards content creation and building your audience for one month. And then the next month is going to be prepping for your launch. So it could be writing new emails, it could be getting your workshop ready to go,

it will definitely be more about promoting a freebie that gets people interested in your future program. And really working to prepare for your launch to get people excited for what you’re about to offer. And then month three is launching, selling and running your program. And you go through that whole process launching usually takes like the actual process of a launch is like usually around a week, maybe two if you like long launches, but I certainly don’t. So it’s usually a week, the prep takes you know, anywhere from, I’d say about a month if I am wanting to not rush through it. So that’s what I recommend. So then I mean, all of that it’s also can be very organized. Even if you do have a business that feels a little more like a rollercoaster ride, it all has this plan still intact, that really, really works. So again, the question becomes, what do you need to do each month to make this happen? Which really, so what do you need to do in months 123, to get 20 people into your beta launch, that’s the ultimate goal, what you need to do in months, four or five, six, to get 25 people in your next launch, that is the ultimate goal. That is what is driving every month and then breaking that down into weeks even to if that feels good to you. Okay, so you do that for yourself, you can do it now. Or do it when you have I mean, I really want you to think about this, I really want you to get organized with this. So please take the time to really sit down and do this. And I just want to leave you with one last thing, which is what do you do when your goals? You’re not You’re not doing? They’re not working? And it’s not happening? You’re trying not to get emotional, you’re trying to stay detach? First of all, come back to your intentions. And seriously ask yourself, Am I being guided by my intentions? Am I showing up with my intentions at the forefront? Because I can almost guarantee you the answer is no. So you don’t need to worry so much about the goals and what you’re doing or not doing to make them happen or not happen. You have to line up with your intentions and get back into alignment with those intentions. And the goals will come as a result. So first of all, remember that I have another really cool tool that I want to share with you this something I don’t even know where I got this probably like four or five years ago now and have kind of always thought about this when it comes to goals and really love this. They’re called Grow goals. So first of all, the G stands for goal. What do you want? So write down your goal. The next, the R stands for reality, what beliefs barriers or stories will try to get in the way. The O stands for options. What could you do? What changes could you make to overcome those barriers? So this is really a brainstorm session, not things that you have to absolutely, definitely 100% do. You’re just getting options. So what could you do to overcome those barriers? And then lastly, the W stands for will, what will you do? What changes will you make? So take the brainstorm you just had up in options and decide what you are going to do to overcome that belief

barrier or story and do it do it just the one thing just do one thing, pick one and do it. This is always good to do and always good to kind of keep in your back pocket. But I really think it becomes effective. When you are not doing what you said you would do when you are not achieving your goals, come back and do this as an exercise. Because there’s a really good chance. First of all, you’re not lining up with your intentions. And second of all, you have some sort of belief or story or fear or something going on, that’s keeping you from really acting towards those goals and those dreams, so then you can find it, you can find that belief or that barrier story. And then you can make a huge list of what you could do to change and then just pick one thing to actually do. So not only then are we getting rid of of the barrier that’s keeping us from our goals, but you’re also dissolving a limiting belief that you have at the same time, you’re proving that belief wrong, which you know, is my favorite way to dissolve beliefs is to do one thing that proves it wrong. And slowly but surely it goes away. So this is a way to do that using your goals. Okay, I’m going to stop it there. We’ll leave it at that. I hope you found this helpful to create not only just goals, which are great, and yeah, there, I have nothing against goals, but more importantly, some intention-based heart-backed goals.
